In Playa del Carmen it is sunny 98% of the time but it sometimes happens that you could come across 2% rain. So I thought I’d give you a few things you can do in case of rain.
-Visit a cenote,
A cenote is often in a cave sheltered from the rain and there are so many choices! This one is Tak Bi Ha.
Visit a park Xcaret, Xplor, Xel-Ha, Xenses, Xavage, ..
You will get wet anyway so you might as well make the most of it.
-If the sea allows it, go scuba diving .
Below the water it doesn’t matter if it’s raining or not! Playa Del Carmen is exceptional for diving and Cozumel has the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world so do not deprive yourself of the wonderful underwater world.
-Visit Vidrio Soplado Mexicano ,
a very interesting artisanal blown glass workshop, he manufactures a wide range of Mexican glass items. If you buy it, you will not only get good prices, but also directly encourage the local artisans who make them.
-A good relaxing massage under a palapa,
-Enjoy it to go shopping ,
there is a large shopping center located on the other side of the highway just ask the Plaza Las Americas taxi , there are several shops, restaurants, arcade, casino, cinema ..
Also take the opportunity to go to the gym to lose all the tacos and tequila accumulated during your stay, there are several gyms in Playa del Carmen.
Go eat at the Alux restaurant
Alux is a unique restaurant in Playa del Carmen, it is located in a cave in the ground, literally! This restaurant is truly the epitome of Playa del Carmen located in a cenote. It should be on every tourist list for a unique experience during your trip to Playa del Carmen.
-In the evening you can go see a show ,
There is Joya from Cirque du Soleil located opposite the Vidanta hotel between Playa del Carmen and Cancun.
Or the famous Coco Bongo , located on calle 12 at the corner of 10th Avenue.
Have fun and enjoy every moment !!
